Product Description

This FAG Medium 6300 Series single row deep groove ball bearing with a sheet steel cage supports radial loads and axial loads in both directions. It is also suitable for high speed applications. This bearing has a C3 radial internal clearance designation to indicate that the radial slack between the inner and outer rings is greater than the standard CN (normal) clearance. It allows for thermal expansion as the bearing supports radial loads and the balls, operating in the deep raceway geometry, reduce rotational friction. This bearing is rated “Medium,” making it applicable for use with average to above average radial loads and light to average axial loads. It can be used to a maximum operating temperature of 120 degrees C/248 degrees F. The inner and outer rings and balls are made of a low-alloy, through-hardened chromium steel for durability, heat tolerance, and resistance to deformity under heavy loads, and the sheet steel cage prevents the balls from coming into contact with each other during use, reducing friction, vibration, and noise. The bearing has a rubber seal on either side that fastens to the outside ring, extends over the rolling elements, and makes contact with the inside ring to keep out contaminants such as dirt and grime. The seals also hold in a lubricant applied during manufacturing that lasts the lifetime of the bearing. This deep groove ball bearing is for use in various applications such as transmissions, motors, pumps, bicycles, and inline skates, among others.

Rolling bearings use rolling elements to maintain the separation between moving parts to reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads. These elements can be one of the following types: ball, cylindrical, spherical, barrel, needle, spindle, or tapered. All rolling bearings are open, shielded, or sealed. Sealed bearings are lubricated with oil or grease in the bearing factory, while open and shielded bearings are meant to be lubricated in place, with periodic reapplication of lubrication, based on use. The shield protects the working parts of the bearing from environmental debris that may be introduced and could reduce the ball bearing speed and lifespan. Rolling bearings are used in a range of applications from agricultural machinery to conveying equipment, robotics, dental equipment, elevators, rolling mills, ship rudder shafts, and aggregate crushers, among others.

Product Description

The FAG radial bearing is an open single-row bearing with metric dimensions for supporting radial loads. This single-row bearing conforms to the Annular Bearing Engineers Committee (ABEC) 1 precision standard for performance within a narrow range of variation and has C3 radial internal clearance for radial slack between the inner and outer rings that is greater than CN (normal) to compensate for thermal expansion. The steel cage evenly spaces the balls for even load distribution and prevents contact to reduce friction, vibrations, and noise. The bearing has an open configuration for lubrication in place and for use in applications with little exposure to dirt, grime, debris, and other contaminants. This FAG radial ball bearing is for use in applications that involve combined radial and axial loads and a need for high running accuracy and stiffness at high rotational speeds. Such applications include clutches, drives, gearboxes, compressors, pumps, turbines, and printing and textile machines, among others.

FAG manufactures a variety of bearings that meet International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) standards for quality assurance. Founded in 1883, FAG is based in Schweinfurt, Germany.

Product Description

This FAG Light 6200 Series single row deep groove ball bearing with a sheet steel cage supports radial loads and axial loads in both directions. This bearing is rated “Light,” making it applicable for average radial loads and light axial loads where space is tight and shaft diameters are relatively large. The bearing has a metal shield on either side that is fastened to the outside ring and extends over the rolling elements. The shields assist in keeping out contaminants such as dirt and grime and also help to hold in lubricant applied during manufacturing.
